Potions will be more critical than elixirs. Would twenty potions and ten elixirs be possible instead of fifteen of each? The functions are almost the same in my world: potions are for physical restoration and elixirs restore magical energy as well as act as a weaker potion. An ether would be our equivalent to your elixirs in my world.

Noctis had told me about them some time ago. He said some monster materials can be added to create additíonal effects, such as multi-casts or poisoning. I am not human, so I am not sure what my materials would do as an additive. If someone were to ingest a potion with my scales by mistake would it cause them harm?

Potions can also be poured onto a wound, can they not? I will be incapable of using them myself and will be relying on an ally to heal me. Will that reduce its efficacy?

That would be fine if it suits your needs better. Both take the same amount of time and energy to produce, so alterations to specific amounts can be changed as much as needed as long as the overall total does not change.

If you have not noticed, while the skills those in my family inherit overall are similar, we each have our specialties and strengths. I have no need of flasks to use my elemental skills. This means I have had no opportunity to experiment with adding materials to stored spells to change their effect. On the other hand, Noctis requires flasks to use his elemental skills. If you truly require something with a multi-cast or poisoning added, I would suggest you speak with him. He would also be the one to ask that question to as I have very little experience knowing what an additive will or will not do to a spell and those who partake of it.
